Frequently Asked Questions
What is your photography style?
For the vast majority of your day I want to be as unobtrusive as possible. I prefer a relaxed photojournalism style that documents your day in a genuine, authentic way. I really try not to direct anyone as much as I can (with the exception of the family photos, when a little direction is inevitable!!)
Where do you photograph weddings? Do you travel?
I am based in Co. Wicklow and regularly photograph all throughout Ireland. I am also available (and love) to travel internationally.
Do you include a second photographer?
A second phtographer is not included in the base package but one can be provided.
How far in advance should I book you?
The average time out from the wedding that people book is 12-18 months, especially for the popular months of June, September and October. However, I also often book only a few months in advance, so it’s always a good idea to contact me to see if I’m available.
If I’m not, I’m happy to recommend a few other photographers whose work I admire.
Do you have arrangements in place to deal with extreme sickness or other exceptional circumstances in which you are unable to photograph our day?
Firstly, let me reassure you that I am rarely ill, not accident prone, and committed to all of my clients at all times. Nonetheless, this commitment has prompted me to establish an agreement with some other photographers that I respect and admire. In the event of any exceptional circumstances, your day will proceed as normal using one of these photographers in my place. Such reciprocal arrangements provide peace of mind for our clients, but have so far never been needed.
Do you only photograph weddings?
No! I also take landscape and wildlife photos in my spare time. You can view these in the Landscape section of my website. Additionally, I have a selection of my wildlife and landscape images available for purchase through the Shop section of my website. These images can be provided to you framed or unframed, and in a variety of sizes depending on your own preference. They make great gifts for family and friends. If you spot any images in the Landscape section you would like to purchase that is not available through my online shop facility, just contact me. I’d be happy to arrange this for you.
If you would like to discuss my photographing other events, feel free to drop me an email.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes. Keith Gordon Photography is a licensed business with full liability coverage. This coverage is required for photographers at most wedding venues.
Where do we see our images, and how long does it take for you to get them to us?
All of your edited images will be posted on a password-protected online image gallery approximately 3-4 weeks after your event. You can then download your images to proudly show all your family and friends! I also usually try to have several highlight images posted online within a few days if at all possible, so that couples get a teaser of their special day whilst they wait for the editing of their images to be completed. Many photographers make their clients wait months before they finally get access to their images, leading to an interminable wait on the part of their clients. I pride myself on prioritising the editing process, to ensure clients can enjoy the images from their special day as soon as possible.
Do you have any online reviews that I can read?
Yes. Reading reviews are a great way for you to research all your vendors, not just photographers. Previous client testimonials provide peace of mind for you that others have made use of my services and are pleased with the final result. Remember that choosing a wedding photographer should be based on their entire offering to the clients from start to finish, rather than just the images they provide. My own client testimonials show that from start to finish, I provide a relaxed, friendly, professional and efficient service. My reviews can be read here and also on One Fab Day.
Do we receive full size image files and copyrights?
All of my collections include high resolution digital negatives, which allow you to create prints either at home, or at your local camera store independently of the studio. While Keith Gordon Photography retains all copyrights to the images, a personal use license is included, allowing you to create as many prints as you’d like and post your images to online social media to your hearts content!
What type of cameras / backup equipment do you use?
Be assured that I have invested heavily in the latest technology to ensure you receive quality images and a professional service. I use Canon digital cameras and Sigma lenses, and ensure that backup equipment is always with me on your special day. I also have backup cameras on site, always just a few feet away from where I’m shooting.
