I was delighted to return to Trudder Lodge Co. Wicklow in October 2018 to shoot the autumn wedding of Rachel and Marty amidst the glorious autumn colours that typify Trudder Lodge at that time of year. Rachel completed all her bridal preparations on the morning of the wedding at Trudder Lodge, which provided lovely opportunities to photograph the great autumnal colours of orange and yellow just outside the classic sash windows of her room. The colours tied in beautifully with her bridal flowers of red and orange, and the bridesmaid’s deep red dress.
With a slimmed down wedding party of one bridesmaid, groomsman, and adorable flower girl, Rachel and Marty proved that small wedding parties can make just as much of a visual impact as larger groups. Have a look at the group photos taken in front of the wonderful ivy covered house to get a a sense of the intimate feel that smaller wedding parties can create.
Rachel and Marty chose to face their assembled guests throughout their ceremony, a modern touch which creates a better sense of connection between the happy couple and their loved ones. All the small moments and laughs and giggles are felt by everyone in the room, and looking at these photos I think you can get a sense of how much their guests enjoyed the ceremony. The intimate autumnal feel to this couple’s big day continued during dinner, where plenty of candles and fairy lights created a cosy and comforting atmosphere that still remained chic and special.
