Becky and Colm chose to marry in the spectacular and classic City Hall in Dublin City centre. Such a beautiful location, and I think these photos help portray that. Being a December wedding, you’ll spot traces of the festive season throughout these photos, from the Christmas trees in the background, to the deep burgundy colours of their flowers and wedding party, which reflect well the atmosphere of this winter wedding at 2018’s years end.
Their day was effortless- Becky and Colm astutely decided to keep the locations of the ceremony and the reception close to each other, avoiding their guests having to navigate their way into, and then back out of, the busy city. By hosting their reception in the nearby Morrison Hotel, Becky and Colm we just a hop skip and a jump from all the action. We had a lot of fun getting some wedding party and family photos in the grand venue of City Hall. I then followed the newlyweds through the winding streets of Dublin, capturing their happy conversation along the cobbled streets.
Dublin in December can be so atmospheric- Christmas shoppers, twinkling lights, shining cobblestones damp from the rain. I’m such a big fan of winter weddings. It seems that couples like Becky and Colm are also seeing the appeal! We stopped on the iconic Ha’Penny Bridge as we crossed the Liffey. I managed to get a quick photo of the couple, as the Christmas shoppers streamed past. Beautiful!
