UPDATE: I was thrilled to hear that One Fab Day had decided to choose my images of Grace and Dean’s gorgeous wedding day for a key feature. Click here to read more about the detail of their engagement and wedding to inspire those prospective brides and grooms in the planning stages. It is my second wedding to be featured on One Fab Day, the first being Aoife and Richard’s cool city nuptials in 2017. Such features are always exciting; although it is a couples’ vision and planning which makes an exceptional wedding, I am always pleased to think that my faithful documentation of the day has played a small part in the process.
Grace and Dean held their ceremony and reception in Clonabreany House, Co. Meath; a venue that is a firm favorite amongst my clients. They were married on a dull and rainy day, but as you can see from the images, that didn’t dampen their spirits, nor the beauty of the day. A pretty umbrella is always a good way to be prepared for the vagaries of Irish weather. In this case it kept Grace’s stunningly intricate wedding gown from getting wet, whilst also serving as a cute point of interest in their outdoor photos.
However, some of my favorite images from this day are from the wedding ceremony itself. The love and happiness of the bride and groom in these moments are clear to see. It is for this reason I much prefer documentary-style photography over more formal and posed imagery. I feel like the former allows me to capture the small but significant moments of a day such as this.
