Shar and Eamonn decided to have a Dublin New Year’s Eve wedding, and they made sure that it epitomised both winter glamour and celebratory fun. They held their ceremony in a city centre church dear to their hearts; Trinity Church near the Custom House in Dublin. The huge bright room had been beautifully decorated by the congregation in advance of the big day, demonstrating the affection felt by many there towards such a great couple. Shar was walked up the aisle by her father, preceded by her fun bridesmaids in shades of pale pink.
At the top stood Eamonn, looking pretty nervous as he waited for his bride, as the shots below demonstrate! All nerves disappeared though, once the ceremony was underway. Look at the joyfulness in these images as they both laugh and joke and celebrate throughout. Such a lovely occasion. They literally danced down the aisle at the conclusion to the ceremony!
With the formalities done, we moved on to take some city centre snaps, with the couple receiving congratulations aplenty from passers-by. Then, it was on to the venue for their reception, Kingswood House in CityWest. A lovely cosy spot for a winter wedding, this location had it all; a roaring fire, cosy armchairs, candles, and a warm rustic feel to the venue for dinner. Perfect as the minutes ticked down towards midnight. As the night wore on, we headed outside with some sparklers to capture the festive atmosphere, a group activity enthusiastically enjoyed by all of the bridal party!
Then, it was back inside where the party continued. As the new year rolled in, the guests celebrated in style. I love getting to capture party shots such as these below. They really illustrate the fun feeling at a celebration like this.
